Hello and Welcome to 5th grade Science/Social Studies.
My name is Mrs. Mlakar. I grew up in Homer City and went to school right here at Homer, graduating in 1985. My husband, Mark and I have one son, Matthew. Matthew is a senior this year. He is attending IUP next year majoring in History and Social Studies. I also have a labradoddle named Penny, who is very bad and likes to steal socks. I have been teaching here at Homer Center for 23 years.
About Science/Social Studies Class
In science we will cover many exciting topics that include; the human body(systems), the solar system, levers and pulleys, and Earth process. In social studies we will cover; maps and globes, early civilizations and explorers.
To be sucessful in my class, please make sure all assignments are completed on time and they are done neatly. Make sure your assignment book is filled out and have someone at home initial each completed assignment. If you forget what your assignment is, please refer to Google Classroom.
