Mrs. Cheryl Turk -- MTSS Coordinator - Room 104
Hello, Homer-Center Wildcats!
The 2024-2025 school year marks the fourth year for our MTSS program! Throughout these years, we researched, tested, and dedicated ourselves to various reading and math intervention programs and assessments. We are excited to share that our data indicates an upward trend in student growth!
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is a framework that includes screeners, plans, and programs designed to help faculty identify and address each student's academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. During their scheduled What I Need (WIN) times, all students will receive tailored academic support or enrichment. Additionally, every student will take part in academic screeners at least three times a year.
As the MTSS Coordinator, I will keep overseeing academic programs, collecting, organizing, and analyzing student data, monitoring student progress, creating learning groups, and working directly with students.
I’m excited to help our Wildcats continue on the path of academic and behavioral growth in the upcoming 2024-2025 school year!
